About the Role:
Geneire Construction WLL is on the lookout for a highly skilled Architectural Engineer (Precast Specialist) to play a pivotal role in a major Data Center project. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the conversion of Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings into shop drawings while managing the Value Engineered transition to precast elements. This position is integral to overseeing all Civil, Structural, and Architectural works, with a focus on facade designs, high-quality finishes, and constructability. Collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contractors will be key to ensuring that all designs align with client concepts and specifications.

As an Architectural Engineer, your role is crucial to ensuring that the design is translated into reality with high precision, efficiency, and quality, while keeping all stakeholders aligned. 1. Convert IFC Drawings to Shop Drawings:
- Explanation of IFC Drawings:
IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings are the final version of design documents that a project team uses to guide construction. These drawings provide a general overview but often lack the fine details needed for day-to-day construction work. - Transforming into Shop Drawings:
Shop drawings are much more detailed than IFC drawings. They break down the design into specific instructions for fabricators and construction teams, showing dimensions, materials, connections, and assembly details. These drawings are created to ensure every aspect of construction is done correctly and consistently with the original design. - Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance:

Your job involves analyzing different solutions to optimize precast installation. For example, you might suggest using lighter materials to ease transportation, or modular designs to speed up assembly. These recommendations help maintain the project’s quality while improving cost efficiency.
3. Review and Manage Facade Design, Construction, and Finishes:
- Analyzing Facade Designs:
The facade is the exterior face of the building and serves multiple functions—structural, aesthetic, and protective. You will carefully analyze these designs to ensure that they meet the project’s goals. This means making sure the facade looks appealing, functions effectively (e.g., weather resistance, energy efficiency), and adheres to structural requirements. - Functionality and Aesthetic Appeal:
A facade must not only look good but also function properly. For example, it should provide insulation, resist environmental elements (rain, wind, sunlight), and ensure structural stability. Your role is to ensure that the facade design achieves all of these objectives. - Ensuring Finishes Meet Specifications:
The finishes on a building include the final coatings, textures, or materials that are applied (e.g., paint, tiles, cladding). These finishes must meet the project’s specifications in terms of durability, appearance, and quality. You will oversee the quality of these finishes to ensure they meet client expectations and architectural standards.
4. Coordinate All CSA Elements:

CSA stands for Civil, Structural, and Architectural elements, the core components that make up the physical structure of a building. Civil works refer to the groundwork (like foundations and utilities), structural refers to the framework (such as beams and columns), and architectural refers to the design aspects (like walls, windows, and doors). - Overseeing Integration with MEP Systems:
As the Architectural Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all these elements are integrated seamlessly with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
